Australian Yukigassen Championships on Mt Buller
Yukigassen Snow Battle
Held in Australia for the first time in 2007, Yukigassen returns to the slopes of Mt Buller this winter for the Australian Yukigassen Championships.
Originating in Sobetsu, Japan, Yukigassen means "snow battle" and is a fun event for everyone.
Two teams of seven take to our Yukigassen arena and attempt to steal their opponents’ flag while trying not to be hit by snowballs thrown by the other team.
Each team receives 90 snowballs per three-minute period and each match is a best-of-three competition.
